GMSprovides a standardized medical approach to protect VIPs and their families. This approach has proven very successful when used in emergency settings.
GMS`s strategy is to provide training in medical protection and emergency medical treatment as needed.
Training involving complicating factors such as darkness, hostile fire, prolonged evacuation times, unique transportation issues, command and tactical decisions affecting healthcare, hostile environments, and provider experience levels pose constraints different from other emergency services.
These differences are profound and must be carefully reviewed when medical protection management strategies are modified for each VIPs needs in different countries.
